Nearly 12 months of velvet-considering euthanasia

yeah they have a white dust/film over them and they scratch, breath heavy, sometimes it looks like their skin is peeling off. I did try gyradol just in case it was an infection or bacteria in case i had misdiagnosed but made no difference. I'm religious with weekly water changes as well.

adding salt to aquarium? how much and how quickly

I'm set to treat my tank that has velvet. How should i add the salt. It's 180 l tank which from what i've seen would need about 9 rounded tablespoons of salt. How much should i do at once 50% and then 10% daily for 5 days or just a small amount each day? Do i need to change water as i add?

    recommended velvet treatments?

What does anyone think the best treatment for velvet maybe? Has anyone successfully treated it. From reading the web it looks pretty grim for my fish. Raising the temp seems pretty undecided upon whether it is best thing to do?
