I am not sure how much help this will be but I have bumble's in two separate tanks and I do not use salt in my tanks. I have two in one tank and tonight found a THIRD! :) apparently I have a mating pair. So they seem happy enough in my tank to spawn without salt. Maybe this will help a little.

I love my bumbles. I have 3. Two in one tank and one in another. Had them all for over a year and the only thing that seems to go missing is guppy fry. I even keep dwarf crays in one of the tanks but I built a lot of tiny rock structures for the cray to hide in that are two small for my bumbles.

I use prime with each water change and I just checked the trates from the tap and yes it's high. This is awful. I'm going for bottled water right now to see if that helps

I just lost my killifish Sofie and the Otto she tried to swallow and choked on. I feel your pain, my husband called and I could hear the eye roll over the phone. Silly boys, not all but at least mine.

Thank you for the suggestions but I had to put her to sleep. She was laying in her side barely breathing and didn't even fight when I netted her and picked her up. I couldn't watch her suffer anymore. Not a good day.

It appears to be stuck. I just tried again. I did a little push pull and it doesn't move at all. The Otto is still alive. Anyone know if she will finally swallow it? Or do I need to euthanize her? Sniff sniff. She is one of my favs.
