    Aggressive threadfin?

A 6G is small, but I feel as if there is more leniency because of the footprint of the tank. A 'long version' of a tank allows for more swimming space than a traditional 6 gallon. What is the length of the tank?

    Aggressive threadfin?

Hmm it could be possible that hes acting this way to try and catch the females attention to breed. It may ware off in time, but Id try to increase the numbers of the threadfin population. If there are more threadfin males, the aggressive male will pay more attention to the other males to compete...

    Assasins and shrimp

Yes, they will attack and eat slow moving or sickly shrimp if there isnt any other food source. If there are enough snails, the assassin will readily choose the snails over fast moving shrimp simply because snails, well, move like snails :D

    ID help please ?

That is absolutely wonderful that you are providing multiple types of food for your fish. It shows you genuinely care about their health and well-being. :flowers: Plecos are always difficult to target feed. Has he been munching on the provided cucumber slice? As to the question about other...

    ID help please ?

Thats a good tank size for this species, Im relieved! :thumb: Try adding some more DW or other cover for them as it'll provide territory for the pair to establish and, in turn, maybe they'll breed for you. Also, try adding some live plants!

    GLA inline diffuser question

Some people also have their diffuser run directly into their filter where it is chopped up and allowed time to be absorbed into the water column. Some people also do this to avoid all the micro bubbles floating around the tank. However it has been debated and debated, and futher debated if the...

    ID help please ?

I believe theyre an Apistogramma cacatuoides pair. The difference between males and females can be rather drastic. The females will be much less colorful and have shorter fins, while the males will have bright colors and much longer flowing fins. Hope this helped! by the way, what are the...

    Weird worm killed Cray

wow, sounds like a pain! Sorry to hear about the troubles, hopefully its a simple solution. To the last part, I have heard about medications dosed in the tank being 'absorbed' by the silicone. Ive heard numerous stories on an other forum about people removing inverts, treating non-invert safe...

    Carpeting plants light?

20 gallon long? High? We need to know how far away the light will be from the substrate. The farther away the light is from the substrate, the stronger it has to be inorder to give the carpeting plants suffecient light. (:

    Stocking 5G Cube!

I don't think shrimp would be a wise choice with a beta around....and I disagree, chili rasboras for example have a very very small bioload, and if nitrates were a problem wouldn't the 2 PWC a week take care of them? Or is it just the lack of space in a 5 gallon cube? Thanks for the input! (:

    Stocking 5G Cube!

Hey guys, I was wonering if you could help me out here. I just got back into the hobby about a month ago, and started out my 5G cube again. So far, I just have a betta in there. What else should I add to the tank? I was thinking about adding 7 chili rasboras, or 7 CPD's, or even a (M&F)...

Shrimp that won't interbreed with RCS?

Actually guys, they almost look like blueberry shrimp to me. Blueberry shrimp are super confusing for me, some say they're an intense strain from blue pearl shrimp (Neocaridina zhangjiajiensis), others say that they're neither Neocaridina or Caridina, but palmata. Ive heard the Neocaridina...

Got a breeder kit for red cherry shrimp

Yeah, you can hatch shrimp eggs with the water coming from the spout. Lets say one of your female shrimp dies while she berried, you can put the unhatched eggs in a net right under the spout and the eggs should still hatch within a few weeks. I was worried about that too, but my kit came with...

His CRS are gorgeous.. lol I dont know what hes thinking but S grade CRS for about $8.33 each, thats crazy. One can get SSS grades for about $11. His are a higher S grade though, almost SS, but not quite there yet lol I would try and talk him down to about $4.50, or $5 each. Ahh, found the...

    Crystal Red Shrimp???

S Grade CRS usually go for $4 online, maybe even $5. Do you have a picture of them? I just want to Make sure they aren't C or B grades. I think $3.50 each is fair if it is an S grade.
