I have an 18 inch cpr hang on back refugium and i love it, I have zero space for anything. I have pods everywhere feather dusters everywhere. I also have mangrove shoots that are doing great. I would love to have a bigger refugium but this is better than nothing.

I have had many of those in my tank. They are nudibranch eggs sometimes they hatch but most of the time mine have just disappeared or been eaten. Good luck.

I just purchased a fish store a few months ago and have been talking to my sw distributors about fish inverts and etc. They are telling me that they can get me mantis shrimp a few times a month from common to very rare. Let me know we might be able to work something out.

I just looked in my tank and saw 200 to 300 baby shrimp. I think my peppermint shrimp was the culprit. Do you think any of them will make it, and can I do anything to help them out. My percula clowns are loving them, or should I treat them as a free meal for my fish? TIA

I have personally acclimated a molly to saltwater in less than an hour. It is not hard at all, and they do great in a saltwater environment. mine has been alive in saltwater for over 5 months now. They keep my top layer of sand sifted and my power heads clean of algae. Great with live rock.

All I know is that I had a prizm skimmer and I was always adjusting it. Every day it had to be adjusted. Some days it wouldn't skim at all and some days It would just wet skim and overflow. I just got fed up and got a better skimmer.

I had a flatworm problem and flatworm exit worked great. You will need to put a rush on getting rid of them because the reproduce very quickly. I got my flatworm exit from marine depot and it was pretty cheap.

Adding a better skimmer did the trick for me. I had a prizm skimmer and went with a remora, and now I have no problem at all. I also used chem clear with no luck. It helped but not even close to having a big impact.

If you are willing to part with him I will take him off your hands. I have a tank for just mantis shrimp and would love another. I will pay for shipping where are you from?

I have had more luck with using a bio-wheel filter without the bio-wheel and using a protien skimmer. The bio-wheel is a nitrate factory. My salinity is also about where yours is at and have had no problems, and having a protien skimmer is only going to benefit a sw tank.

I agree with salttanker my yellow tang started doing the same thing and it turned out to be ich so I would quarantine him as soon as possible, because when it starts it takes off. I quarantined mine and he is doing fine now. GOOD LUCK

I love my magnum, and it isn't half as loud as it was when I first got it. This thing moves a lot of water and the micron filter works great. Give it some time you will be happy.

I just took a look in my refugium tonight and saw a tube worm, then looked a little harder and found a baby brittle star, so I got real close and saw a whole bunch of little white bugs in the water and on the acrylic. what are these things and are they good or bad? TIA

Anywhere mid level in the tank should be fine. I had mushroom corals in my 20 gallon hex with a minor lighting upgrade and they are doing great and propagating monthly now. HTH

Then should I leave nothing in the magnum or run the micro fiche filter. The power heads are by zoo med I know not the best but they move a lot of water.

I think I would rather go a little bigger and spent the money especially since the 50 gal is free and I will be able to sell the hex. Just need some advice on equipment.
