I'm going to add a Counter current skimmer to my tank. And thought that I coud just add a "T" in my line from the overflow going to the sump with a ball valve to feed the skimmer. The valve could of course control my skimmer flow...and the excess would just go to the sump...

I recently made a hospital tank for my sick clown fish who has Ick. If I am treating the hospital tank and fish with a cooper medication why would I also want to put the fish through hyposalinity. Wont the medication kill the Ick all by itself?
