If its before 2 on Friday that would work. Wednesday or thursdays are better for me tho. I can give you between 6 and 9 yellow labs (depends on how hard they are to catch)

You definatly don't wana mix demasoni they're evil lil fish and will destroy the yellow labs. Demasoni are expensive and go on killing sprees. Yellow labs are a more docile mbuna species. If you like the look of demasoni consider the redtop black bar zebra. I have 6 of them, they look similar...

    Algea?

I don't think it has to do with your filters at all. Maybe someone else on here knows better? My guess is the natural sunlight through the blinds, it doesn't take much to cause algae.

    african ciclids

Something a little more agressive in a 25, idk. I've always wanted to try brackish water and planted tho and a 25 is a good starter size. Ill look in one of my books the next day or so and let you know on semi agressive fish for a tank that size.

    Fry tank help needed.

Really you'll probably get tired of constantly having babies and having to take care of them. Its neat for awhile but eventually you'll just leave them in the big tank and let nature take it course. Lol. That's what happened to me.

    Fry tank help needed.

Brine shrimp is so small, I bought some and only used it a few times. Really they seemed to like finely crushed flake food better. After all they are just baby fish, not like a puppy or something where you want the best food you can get for development. I've had tons of babys and a lot grew up...

    Fry tank help needed.

No I just did it to make them happy. Also you don't need gravel in tank if you don't want it, it just helps keep your good bacteria built up. Also a weird thing about platies and guppies in my grow out 5 gal they always seemed to grow slower than the ones in the main tank. Idk if the small tank...

    Algea?

Algae is a plant and cannot survive without light. Even though you are keeping the light off is the tank in a room that recieves a lot of sunlight?

    Fry tank help needed.

That should be fine, I used to constantly try to take care of baby guppy and platy fry... but they breed like crazy n finally traded in all the females to stop the endless babies. I have a 5 gal that I used for fry. Throw some gravel/sand or whatever you have from your main tank to boost the...

    african ciclids

+1 on the 55 gallon minimum. There are tons and tons of different species of chiclids they are one of the most diverse fish around. Mbuna are algea eating cichlids from africas rift lakes and make up the majority of assorted african cichlids you see at petsmart (although I would look elsewhere...

No I have not seen the inside of one. Just sayin mechanical filteration first.

Filter for my african cichlid tank.....

I wouldn't put your bio rings stars or whatever first IMO. being as the larger particles will clog up your rings negating the useful effect. It doesn't matter being as you can run your tank without amonia ring, carbon ect, but to get the full use of whatever bio media you have it'll definatly be...

Filter for my african cichlid tank.....

Sorry I mis read you are on the right track. Put the polish pad last even if its right ontop your bio media

Filter for my african cichlid tank.....

It goes in order from entering canister, foam filter pad (mechanical), bio media (bio), then polish the water with super fine mechanical last to totally clear the water before re entry. The bio media will grow algea on it that can break up so that's what the final polish is for.

3/4 to 3 or 4 inches. I just want em gone they're overtaking my tank.

Filter for my african cichlid tank.....

Polishing pads usually a the last stage of filteration, but you can put it on top the biomedia if your trying to seed the media. I think that's what u were getting at. Also those foam filter pads for canister filters are amazing as a reusable filter for HOB filters. I save a ton of $ that way...
