    RCC Traits and Care

How are you getting on with the crabs? I'm very tempted to buy a couple but reading some conflicted info on the web and forums.

    Fluval CO2 system

Anyone use the fluval 88g co2 system? I'm reading reviews that the tank empties quite quickly so wondering if I might be better trying something else.

    Co2 diy

So I'm a little apprehensive on setting up a CO2 system on my tank, simply because I've never tried it before. Having watched a video on YouTube by these guys, http://www.co2supermarket.co.uk/, and it doesn't look all that complicated. Unfortunately I don't have an external filter (i have a...

    Shrimp

Anabolic shrimp are really cool. Very sturdy and make a nice addition to a tank despite their lack of colour. The only problem is they need brackish water for breeding, unlike red cherry shrimp.

Hey all, Just came back from vacation and noticed one of my three amano shrimp has grown substantially and has developed what hat appear to be large blackish gills on it belly. Is this anything to worry about? Thanks

    Help catching panda corys

The problem is, the tank is the fluval edge with the small opening at the top. Difficult to partition of the tank, and it's not very big to both hands into the tank.

    Help catching panda corys

So as the title suggests I'm having difficulty catching my pandas (4x). Its a fluval edge 33l tank, I'm transferring them to a 100+, I've removed all rocks, plants, and have taken out 50% of the water. They're just so quick and feel like they are getting stressed with my constant chasing with...

    Aquascaping - Ideas

Thanks, although not quite what I was aiming for, I'd like to get some driftwood and make it more like a British aqua scape. Im hoping the fry could hide the cave or tunnel I've created but do appreciate the point of having thicker plants, I'm hoping what I have now will get bushier as they...

    Community fluval tank

Cool. What are the angel fish like to keep? I'd like to buy some but unsure of their suitability with my community tank (guppies, harlequins)

    Aquascaping - Ideas

So here's my new tank set up. It's 90x30x40 so about 108L, and I've put in a fluval u4 (internal) filter, and 24inch 18w lights. The fish include 7 guppies (4x female, 3x male), 6x harlequins, and 3x yomato shrimp (I really want red cherry shrimp but can't find any in the LFS). I'd like to...

    Hardscaping with bricks

Thanks jlk, I've read something similar in that I would have to be careful what brings I put in a tank. In terms of design most people seem to use brings as an actual design piece. Is there any reason not to use as a base in which to layer substrate over? Or is there any other items that could...

    Hardscaping with bricks

Hi there, Does anyone have experience with hardscaping with bricks? I'm thinking of creating a two (possible three) tiered platform tank to create the illusion of a rolling hillside. Naturally I will cover with substrate and edge with natural stone to cover the fact I used brick. Just curious...

    Aquascaping - Ideas

So I'm about to set up a new 180l tank and looking for some ideas on how best to design a planted aquarium. I've been looking for ideas on The Green Machine website But naturally these guys excel in this field. I have guppies, panda corys, and thinking of getting some neon tetras, zebra danios...

    Giant Danios

wow.... Even more impressive then. As much as I like the idea of a well planted tank I think I'll follow your example of synthetic plants with one or two real plants to start with, given my knowledge and experience of plants (and co2) tanks is limited, and replace out with real plants on an...

    Giant Danios

Sorry, yes normal sized zebra danios (or any danios) for that matter. I only have guppies and the panda corys just now but will be parading my tank shortly from a 23l to 180l so hoping for more variety (thinking some shrimp for added bottom dwellers) but keen for some other breeding fish like...

    Giant Danios

Agreed, i can't wait to get a larger tank to play around with planting more. Question though, I'm thinking of getting danios (never kept them before) but I hear they are good community fish and breed quite easily. Any confirm this? Also, are they good companions to guppies, panda corys, tetras?

Adding Driftwood during cycle ~ is this a no no?

Where in Hertfordshire do you recommend? I've just moved close to Hemel Hempstead and there's there decent stores 1. Pets at home in Apsley 2. Maidenhead aquatics in st Albans 3. Don't know the name but there's a garden just on the outskirts of hemel Hempstead
