Violet gobies are brackish and nocturnal. Don't expect to see him out much except for feeding time. Shrimp pellets and algae wafers were a favorite food when I kept them.

He would be fine either way. I've kept two Senegals in the past and they did swim together. Just be sure they are kind of close in size.

My Endlicheri bichirs stick together in a group. My Ornate does his own thing. Someone just gave me a Senegal and he tends to stick with the Endlicheri bichirs. If you pick up a second, just be sure it's not small enough for the other one to eat.

Thanks, the large one is around 9" TL, the smaller one is closer to 6.5 - 7" TL. I'm looking for some more larger ones that won't become bichir food. I have a 40B growing out some CL's but it'll be a long time before I can introduce them. Here's the 40B. Not the best pic, but it works :thumb:

I've had two in the past. They would only eat worms for me.

I use my Kodak Playsport to occasionally take pics and videos from inside the tank. The fish are usually to skittish to get a good shot though. I may have to try again tonight.

I keep a rubber lip pleco in each tank.

Why not two canisters? If you are mainly looking for mechanical filtration you can go with a cheaper Sunsun, Aquatop or ZenBlue.

Nice, mine are moving from my 20g grow out to a 40g grow out in the next few days. I house mine with clown loaches and a rubber lip pleco. I'm trying to grow them out to 5-6" so they can join my bichirs in the 125g, I'm hoping their bodies will be to thick to see as a meal.

There are more in view but I know what to look for. The two Poly's on the right are 12", the Ornate on the left is 9.5". There is another 10" Endli in the tank but he must be hidden behind the drift wood or another Poly.

I've taken the approach of minimalistic decor, my Ripsaw catfish redecorates nightly so I was fighting a losing battle. I removed all but one piece of driftwood and the plants are shifting to my 40 breeder. Anyway here is my 125g as it currently sits. Can you count and name the fish?

Nice, I bought my 4 in December at 1". They are now 3.25", 2.5", 2.25" and 1.75".

AC110's are great for filtering but they tend to be loud. I have 5 sitting in my garage unused. I switched to canister filters and I have not looked back.

What kind of growth did you see from him? One of mine is growing quick, two are so so and one is slow.

My old fire eel went three weeks before first eating. What are you trying to feed him? Have a pic of the white spot? Maybe a burn mark from hiding by the heater?
