Just cycled a 125g planted tank with a layer of organic soil a layer of eco complete & a layer of black moon sand. Looks great & plants have already taken root & showing growth.

Well l guess it is more fuzz like. And it is new driftwood. Was cut up, boiled, and soaked. It was just added to the tank when l started it the 1st of last month. That sounds like what it is. Thank you! Will it eventually dissappear on its own ?

I've got a planted tank that is about a month old. The numbers are all good & do weekly 10-15% wcs. I have noticed something on the driftwood that appears to be white hairlike algea. Is this normal for a new planted tank, or is it something l need to address??

I really haven't ever read anything on that part yet. Hopefully they are solitary for what the average price is !! Lol

We are in the process of selling our house & planning on building one. If we do l m planning on building a wall with a 4-500 gallon tank in it in the den. The sky would be the limit in stocking it !!

Sorry! They are really colorful fish. But the red spotted ones seem to be a little harder to come by

If l add another big tank l want go with a school of gold & red spotted severums for the color. My lfs asked me today if l would take a silver dollar that somebody didn't want.....so guess l will add that one to my tank.

The common pleco will be too large for you but certain species like the bristlenose will only grow to around 6" but in a small tank watch your water parameters because plecos leave alot of waste. Good luck !! If l'm not mistaken the chinese algea eaters can grow to about 20-24"

According to the article it's the ones being bred & imported from Singapore. But even then it's not all of them either. Mine scene healthy for now

Don't think so. Seems to be the genetics in the Dwarf Giuramis but only if they come from certain areas. But I'm still trying to find out more about it.

I've got Dwarfs & they do have some beautiful coloration but bettaowner is right. Everything l've read says that they are very susceptible to disease. But I'll just love mine til the end lol

Yea l do too. They have just now gotten to eat the pellets. But l try to feed them off to themselves because they wont compete with the other fish for the pellets. But stangely enough, they will run the others off with the squash & zucchini. Its interesting to watch !!!
