Be careful ...even with an airstone I would lower your water level to pump up the oxegyn...86 is dangerously warm especially for a week...the fish could suffocate plus it is super stressful on them...heat is not the best option IMO...def. do constant WC....and I wouldn't even think about adding...
I treated a 10" pleco and Angel fish 2 raphael and a midnight cat fish which is completely scaleless all did great with salt...only fish I lost was one angel and a Molly that were badly infected by Ich

Heat is not funny it is out right dangerous! ...I don't know of many fish that can survive in 86-90 deg temps...it is cruel and stresses the fish out tremendously! Science may say Ich dies at 90 but it also says fish suffocate at those temps too....just my opinion heat is just as stressful as...
Just got over a bad Ich outbreak I mean bad...and honestly 82 deg. With 2 tsp/per gal of Salt worked great...no chemicals needed...It took about 2 weeks to completely rid the tank....but was worth it...most fish recovered quickly within a few days & 2 angel fish had a spot or two of it for an...

Throw a peice of Mopani drift wood in and I guarantee a nice tea color look for about a year!.....Not only does it look natural/good but most importantly the tannis is really good/healthy for the fish too....

Unfortunately the chain stores are most likely your problem....I have made that mistake in the past especially with bolivian rams from Pet Smart they always seem to have internal parasites...I am lucky enough to have a great LFS about 1/2 hour from my house so I never buy from chains anymore...
I love the black ones too...here's my pair..I am lucky enough to have some pretty good local breeders in my area!

You should be ok...i never put my dwarf in with my Angels....but I had about 6 blue gauramis in with my angels and the gauramis were actually to much for the Angels..they constantly harassed them so I ended up re homing the gauramis. ...I do have one dwarf gaurami in with some neons and cory...
I don't keep Africans cichlids just South American.... but I am pretty sure that temp is way LOW! Your not keeping cold water species anymore....you Want that temp to be between 78-80 deg.

Your lucky! I call neons and Zebra danios Angelfish Snacks! I tried to get a good school of 15-20 of each to get some good activity going on in my tank because I mostly have Angelfish and as beutiful and unique as they are three serene behavior can get a little biring

Random update: on my own status thought you would be interested in....got home from work today and there was my Female laying eggs up the filter with one of my now confirmed males trying to fertilize right away and help her fan!...I now believe I have one pair + one male one Female not paired...
I believe it has been mentioned but 14g way to small for an Angelfish! I know you probably were not aware of that at the time you bought it....but I have Angelfish that easily span over 6"....anyways patients and time you will be happy with this hobby....I do suggest in the future you get a...
It is nearly impossible to sex Angels...I have 6 and am only positive about one...its a Female because i have seen her lay eggs a few times..but ends up eating the eggs every time as well...if Angelfish feel threatened or the eggs may be compromised they will eat them.. so a predator can...
This is hopefully your answer my friend! I never had a problem in 5 years and when I moved to my new house in a different City the pH level was so low it caused my Angelfish's eyes to do the exact same thing....I tested the water and found it was under 6.0 and started adding the pH 7.0...
