I have some rock that is now turning brown. It was used in a saltwater but spent two or so years dry. All of a sudden the tops of all it is brown. Is this algae? If so how do I correct it? I plan on getting a pleco as my tank isnt fully stocked yet anyway.

Right now I have a 40 breeder with 2 yellow labs one "marmelade" peacock and one "blue hap". Least thats how the lfs was selling em. They are all small around 2 inches. Id like to add an upside cat and a bn pleco and then add about 7 or so more small peackcocks. Will this work?

So the pure ammonia source is not so pure. It has surfactant in it. It's a fishess cycle but can any harm come later? Obviously have to buy a different source. Oh yeah water was cloudy is how I found it. What do I need to do?
