    Common Plecostomus Profile

This is Maury. He'll hopefully be getting a buddy soon - a Starlight Pleco :-) Just have to get our Nitrates down first :-/

    Show off your Betta(s)!

Stunning guy!! I had a little heart attack this morning because Chuck was up by the filter & not moving AT ALL. I even poked him & not a budge out of him. I was devastated! I went to tell the hubby & came back & there was Chuck over the other side of the tank swimming away grand! [mod edit]...

Sick Danio - any advice appreciated!

Thanks Dwayne! I know what you mean about the small water changes but its all I can do between now & the weekend. I'm off for a few days then & will do a succession of big water changes as you recommeded. All the other fish seem perfect so hopefully all will be well :-)

Sick Danio - any advice appreciated!

Thanks so much guys. The Turquoise wasn't bloated but as you said the Nitrates are quite high so could have played a factor. I will continue with the small water changes & do a proper job on it on Saturday. I tried some peas tonight. I don't know if she got any herself but I'll try some more...

Sick Danio - any advice appreciated!

Thanks so much for getting back to me :-) The tank is 120l & the stocking is as follows: Common Pleco x1 Moonlight Gourami x2 Rainbows x 6 (Yellow x2 Turquoise x2 Green x2) (-1 Turquoise that died overnight :-( - no idea what happened!) Giant Danio x2 Odessa Barbs x3 Molly x1 Neons x6 Cherry...

He really is! Never saw one like him. Does anyone have any tips on breeding them? Do you need anything in particular? Just curious really :-)

Sick Danio - any advice appreciated!

Hi all. I posted this the other day so apologies for posting again - I'm just so worried! One of my Giant Danio is, as you can see, very bloated. Her scales are sticking out & while she can swim around perfectly when she wants to she spends the majority of her time at the very top of the tank...

Suggestions for an active, feisty 55 gallon community?

+1 for the Giant Danio! Beautiful active fish. Not much colour though so I don't know if that will bother you... Maybe Rainbows?

    Giant Danio question

Anyone got any ideas? She was super active last night - definitely not in any way lethargic. I'm concerned my other Danio seems to be getting bloated now! All the other breeds seem fine though...

    my new GBR's

Stunning fish! Best of luck with them!

What did you name your fish?

Sounds like Luckys name is very appropriate! Wow! We also have a Chuck (Norris) - our male Betta & our female Betta is Katie (Taylor). Our Pleco is called Maury because he helps the other fish like Maury does on the TV show!! Those are the only ones we've named so far (apart from the Giant...

    Giant Danio question

Thanks so much for getting back to me & for the welcome :-) She is still swimming around when she feels like it & is still eating fine. Her swimming seems fine - not laboured or anything. Her scales are sticking out. Is that bad? The tank is 120l that we've had for just under a year & she is one...

    Giant Danio question

Hey guys! It's my first post here :-) As you can see from the pictures something is up with one of my Giant Danio. At first I thought it might be eggs but perhaps it's dropsy? All my other fish seem perfect & she's in grand form. She does seem to hang around one particular plant & always seems...
