    I didn't have luck with those eating it. But every animal is different. Nip the algae in the butt though it spreads fast. I was out of town for 3 days and it took my tank fast.

    I had the red algae once before, turbo snails took care of it for me. The last pic looks somewhat like a pineapple sponge. Look it up on google and see, if so they are harmless.

    Mine went from a 3 headed frag to at least 9 that I can count it about 3 months. They grow very quick.

    They will survive I've taken odd ball aggressive fish and crabs and put them in the sump, still there today.

    Looks like it could be a gorilla crab, if it is it's a fish killer. I would not put it back in the main display tank, if you have a sump and you want to keep him I'd put him there.

    Mine never fully opened till I put them in direct light with moderate flow. But each tank set up is different.

    Same mine is also pressed against the front glass. As long as it's happy and healthy I'd let it be.
