not sure what is going on but my eshopps gets a large bubble in it and then looses siphon. almost dumped the entire refugium on the floor.

My 40b is sitting full of sw, rock curing in tank, hob filter running until sump work complete. What do I need to do to get this party started? Tank has been setup for at least a month.
I want to start buying livestock, but not sure what to do next.

I am still gathering all the equipment to get my tank going.
I am gettng a 20gal for the sump/refugium. what size pumps do I need? the tank stand is 36" tall. I know you have to consider headspace.
what are filter sox for? I see some use them and some people do not.

I have a pump to add some bubbles. Want to be careful about the water backing up the hose into the pump. The a Hugh mess. Does the pump have to be any specific height?
