    Grrr, Persistant Green Hair Algae

The nutrients have to be in the rock, sense the algae is growing on the rock then, the only logical explanation is that the nutrients are in the rock and the algaes are consuming them before they reach the water column

Bristle worm trying to kill my fish

Well said mr. X. In my honest opinion there are a lot of organisms that get a very bad rap (bristles, emerald crabs, hermits, etc) for doing exactly what they do and nature, and fulfilling their purpose in the aquarium, to eat detritus. These animals have evolved to sense and consume decaying...

Bristle worm trying to kill my fish

My point is that you should identify them before killing them. My ability was suppose to highlight the flaw within the previous statement. Yes their may be some other CUC that are more effective individually at cleaning specific things, but how many of the can get into the center of a rock?

Bristle worm trying to kill my fish

Based on that logic Some species fish eat coral, there for when your coral is dying you should kill every fish in your aquarium, Large enough to eat coral.

Bristle worm trying to kill my fish

You are basically killing one of the main consumers of detritus within your aquarium, based on a pure hunch, that is not based on any scientific observation or ecological theory. I very strongly advise against this.

Bristle worm trying to kill my fish

If your dead set on getting rid of them. An arrow crab is your best option, polychaete worms are their natural food source in the wild.however I highly doubt these species of bristle worms is your problem. They are not biologically capable of preforming these events, nor is it the ecological...

Bristle worm trying to kill my fish

It's defiantly a polychaete, however I have to agree with mr. X identification would be hard without seeing the specimen. However some polychaete worms are predatory, bobbits for example are not only predators but very very efficient ones

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it, I had the live rock formations, and my bio filtration in a cycle tank for 5 months now, so it should be good in just a couple days. However full water test will be done. Trying to decide what corals to get first any ideas?

    high ammonia

Anaerobic bacteria can survive in sealed containers, however for efficient cycling you need both. The majority Aerobic bacterias will convert ammonia into nitrite, and then Into nitrate. Where as anaerobic will convert nitrate into nitrogen gas so that it may be released Into the system. That's...
