I just changed the filter as well. I could have gone another week or two, but I figured if there is anything toxic in the tank that would help, especially after the water change yesterday. I've also heard that the black tinge indicates aggression? But I can clearly see an all over color...

I'm no sure what apistogramma is, please excuse my ignorance. Is current pH acceptable? I have a kit which tests for it and had a liquid to increase and another increase. Everyone says different things. Is there an ideal pH?

Also, I just measured the pH. It's between 6.4 - 6.5

That's exactly what I don't want. I want a semi peaceful tank. It seems like this fish will bully everything in site. So out w/ the Red/Midevil, and sticking to RoseQueen/Hybrid I guess for now. Bigger Tank to come as soon as possible. Thank you for your opinions, they truly matter.

Thank you I agree. I will be getting a larger tank by the end of the week. I'm thinking of keeping the RoseQueen - she seems calmer less aggressive and is more active today. The RedDevil needs a huge Tank and a very exact similar breed, if not another fish at all.

Red Devil/Midus/Hybrid Something So hard to part w/ either of them. I don't know what to do. :nono:

Rose queen alone after separation OKAY, Here she is. She's such a beauty and so beautiful. I'd hate to return her. Notice the left fin, if you guys can. Lighting is bad, hard to get a good pic from a tank.

It's so challenging to measure it, but by eye balling it from lips to end of tail, it must be 6 inches. At least 2 in. in height. Again just an estimate. I'm too tired to measure after that water and separation change.

Weekly, or biweekly? Will it actually grow back? Sorry, I'm just very curious. Thank you.
