hey guys, this is just a hypothetical, i have 8 mollys 1- pleco 1-mystery snail 1-dwarf frog ..i was wondering would adding a large fish like not too big but one that would stick out of the crowd, be too much for my tank and would the other fish be scared?:ermm:

as far as the calcium is concerned, i had been under the impression that Snails need calcium to grow. have i been misinformed?:blink:

It's a 20 gallon long. But now that I learned plecos are poop factories it makes sense . And I'm saving up money for a larger tank of that was gonna be your suggestion.

these filters have only been in use for about 3 months. i have two HOB's, the next time i do a WC i'll rinse them both out. but you didn't rinse the media right? just the unit itself? cuz i don't want to lose all my beneficial bacteria!!

Soooo, are u like saying it could be the gravel itself? Did u buy a different brand? I have white gravel now. And just to make sure, you actually tested a small amount of gravel from your tank AFTER rinsing it and put a fresh bottle of pre bottled water in with it and placing it in a container...

UPDATE: hey guys, so i used the prime, and unfortunately it doesn't seem to have helped. i did a gravel vac last night and yesterday afternoon i did a 30% water change. I decided to post a pic of my Ammonia vile i tested as of this morning. Thanks again for all your help!!

hi :) thanks for your reply, my ph levels are around 7.4-7.5 i have 6 platys and 2 mollys as well as one pleco and african dwarf frogs. every one is very very active and have clear eyes and skin. no signs of poor health! :confused:
