I do water changes weekly I do a drip acclimation if it is a more expensive fish or delicate one but most I just do the bag and my tap water parameters I will have to get tomorrow but I do know the ph is about 7.4

I add the fish by putting the bag in the water for about 20 min and then dump all the water out and only put the fish in with a net

I have been feeding them the same fish food from the start top fin tropical fish flakes

I haven't added any decor or anything like that for a couple of weeks

I have had the Otos for about 2 months and the swordtail for only like 2 weeks

There are 5 glowlight tetras 4 neon tetras 1 swordtail 2 platys 1 Molly 1 otoculous 1 bamboo shrimp and 3 guppies

I'm using the tetra whisper ex30

It's a 28 gallon tank and has been set up and cycled for about 3 months

One swordtail has died and three otoculous. He swordtail looked normal but the Otos were big around their bellies.

I just had 2 Otos does and now a swordtail today so I did a water test and have a high ph of about 8.4 and nitrates are at about 7ppm ammonia is about at zero maybe .25ppm so should I do a big water change or what?

Ya I have java moss and some other plants but it looks like they cleaned all my algae in like 2 days

The title says it what should I feed RCS. I went to the store and didn't know what food to buy for them. So what do I need to feed them any advice is appreciated thanks.

a little over 20 RCS and 4 guppy fry

I want a variety of low light plants for my tank because I just took out a big decoration and have lots of room. I don't want any Anubias because I already have that but anything else I will buy.

I had 3 guppies in a 5.5g tank for awhile then moved them to a 29g because one of the guppies had babies now it is a shrimp tank and I have about 20 RCS. So IMO you could probably do 4 guppies if you wanted to but it would be overstocked.

I just came back from a week long service trip in the Dominican Republic and I came home to some guppy fry I can see 4 but there could be more. I have no idea how to take care of them so I need some help on what to do with them. Thanks

We'll I just found my Dalmatian Molly dead when I came home today :( so I finally got rid of all the tetras black phantom and serpae and got some neon tetras so hopefully there will be no more fin nipping

Ya I think I'll try to take them back but it has been longer than the 14 days petsmart give you to return them do you think they would still take them back? And I definitely advise not to get them unless you have other aggressive fish.

I have 5 serpae tetras and 5 black phantom tetras and some other fish in a 29gallon tank. I was wonder how I can fix this problem of fin nipping the serpae tetras just chase themselves around and a lot of the other fish and their is noticeable damage. My tank is fully cycled and all my levels...

Added a bunch more plants Anubis, Java fern, Java moss, water sprite and others
