Would adding a third light be pointless on a 75 gallon planted tank? I have Co2 on the tank and fertilizers ect. Also would going higher on the K value do anything for the growth of the plants?

What's the difference? The instructions from Aquatec-of California said DO NOT use oil. So I'm kind of weary to use it.

So I have two different Co2 drop checkers. They are reading different colors and I can figure out why. Any ideas on why this is happening? The top one seems correct but the glass one that's 4 inches down is very light yellow. Finish are not gasping at surface at all.

What end should I have the Co2 input be on bottom/top? I can flip it both ways but have seen some keep it on the top where the water input is and some on the bottom as it exits the reactor.

So this is my new sump return pump for my DIY overflow/trickle filter system. I had a smaller pump that was rated at 630 GPH. I wanted more flow and purchased the Aqueon 4500. Put a check valve on it just in case of a power outage. Also attached a ball valve to control the intake flow.

So what my question is; how high can I make the output into my wet dry filter on the overflow? I've seen a lot of pictures on the Internet where the output into a wet dry filter from the overflow is very low on the PVC pipe. If I put it higher up will I lose flow rate? Or should I put it lower?

Was doing some research on an under gravel jet system. I saw pictures with this plastic grate system in place between the pipes. Any ideas on what it's for? Any info appreciated. I do know it's a grate for fluorescent lighting for lowered ceiling but I just don't know why it's in the tank.

I've been using API aquarium salt to make my tank brackish. Should I be using Marine salt instead? My tank is basically mollies with the exception of 2 peppered Cory catfish. Plus some Zebra snails and ghost shrimp.
