Hi All,

After the first 1g tank I had setup at work, one of my colleagues asked me to make him one for his desk as well. So I got busy.

Stats:

20cmx20cmx20xcm
Sand Substrate
Slate rocks
Anubias Nana & Philipino Java Fern
11W 6500K Incandescent screw in bulb - 6 hrs a day
Seachem Flourish & Excel twice a week

Please let me know what you think and excuse the slightly dark photos!

Cheers,

Brandon.

where are u getting such sweet little peices of driftwood like that!!! i am jealous lol. i think i may just set up a nano and see how it goes. still need flourish escell though lol. i love that little stand though.

Just wondering if the Incadescent bulb was a typo or not? If not I'd highly recommend switching to a Screwin Compact Flourescent since Incadescents are nearly useless for plant growth.

Absolutely awesome scaping though!

Just read the packaging for the bulb. You are right, the bulb is a dayllight bulb "as a replacement for the standard incandescent bulbs".. works a treat though. I have it in my other tank and all the plants are thriving

Looks Great. In fact you motivated me to break out an old 2.5g to set up as a planted Betta tank. Are you running any filtration?

Hehe thanks everyone. Yes the tank is running a 100lph hang on filter with bio media, sponge and activated carbon. Works very well so far
