Hi I just got a new tank opening as my snake died which gave me the option to turn her tank into an aquarium. The tank is a 20 gallon long. I was told that a 20g long since it has the same length and width of a 29 would work for a pair of convicts. Just wanted to clarify this. Thanks!

I have 3 breeding pairs of chilids and they get along and do well in my 10's and 15 gallon tanks.

That's way to small. Look into dwarf cichlids like apistos or Bolivian rams.

A 20L is perfect for a pair of convicts but the biggest question is what to do with all the fry? They are worthless and impossible to give away much less sell them. There are a lot of cool fish in Cryptoheros that would be perfect for that tank.

You can see in my albums quite a few.
