55 gal question

Got the itch for some other fish, not compatible with my current set up. Looking at 55 gallon in my area that is very reasonable priced and is holding water fine. It has a center brace. Since the guy selling it can't seem to tell me the dimensions right now, I was wondering if all 55 gal have center braces, and if not, what ones do.

I ask as I have had challenges with a hood on my current tank, and want to make sure I can find a hood for it. Not sure what kind of tank it is or what the dimensions are until I see it. Wanted to save some time.

Aqueon 55g is 48 x12 x(high?).
Definitely has center brace(all 48 inch do that I know of{ even my 33 long!}).

The only way I know of that a standard 55 wont have a center brace from the factory is if its a really old one with the 1/2" or thicker glass. You will know if it is because I came across one at good will and it had to weigh close to 170lbs.
