Acrylic Aquarium

I am trying to design a new aquarium size 48Lx18Wx21H. I am planning to use 1/2 Acrylic. The question is what kind of acrylic. I read about the extruded and cast types. Some aquarists recommended the cast type while many others said that it would not make a major difference. However, when I call a few stores they said that they do not sell 1/2 acrylic but it is .472. What is your recommendation? Appreciate your help.

I would recommend having a glass one built. I have a acrylic tank and it is the worst investment I have made yet. Look at it funny and it scratches, plus glass is much easier to clean. However, if you insist on acrylic you will find this out on your own. Hope that helps
