I have now purchased two air stones and both of them broke while I was putting them in the tank. I bought both of them at the best aquarium store in town, and each were $3.99. I'd rather pay more and get a good air stone, but I can't find a more expensive version anywhere.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I want to produce the effect that an air stone produces. I have heard bubble wands are not the way to go. Is there a good quality air stone out there?

Thanks

No, I wasn't soaking it. I should have known! Thanks for the tip. I tried it with a new airstone and got it in without any issues.
