I have a 55 gal tank w/ a 450 emperor filter on it and also a pool sand substrate and I am wondering if I ran a airstone strip if that would upset my sand bottom and cause harm to my back filter?? And also my angels fish are only dime and quarter size right now is my tank too high for baby angels?

Not sure about pool sand but I have aquarium sand with an air stone and it doesn't disturb it at all. You could also get a bubble wand; some of them have suction cups that connect to the aquarium glass rather than onto the substrate. Not sure about the Angels, I'm not familiar with them.

Shouldn't be a problem. I have an airstone sitting on the bottom of the tank and a decade old tetra HOB running A-Ok.
