Algae Bloom won't go away.

Just a quick update. My new UV sterilizer arrived and has been in for 72hrs and my tank is crystal clear again.

Here's two pics - 48hrs ago and and about 30min ago. I put it in 3 days ago and wished I had that pic to include so you could see what a difference the Green Killing Machine made.

Before my old ones died I left them on all the time. Does it mess with the balance at all leaving on all the time? Thoughts?
 
UV bulbs have a life expectancy. Mine was 6 months. I would suggest you only use it if you have to. Reduce the light and nutrients to keep it from coming back.
 
Reduce your light as suggested and the plecos are unnecessary& overrated. Not worth the waste they contribute unless you have a really big tank. Oto's are great, would rehome the gourami's. Get dwarf or honey gourami if you like them. Had plecos in my 75, really prefer Oto's.
