Algae?

Can any identify this green algae looking stuff. If so is it good or bad. Thanks in advance.

That would be Hair Algae. It can be a real pain if you let it spread all over the place. I personally let it grow in a few spots in my tank to absorb some nutrients but others like to eradicate it fully. It will grow if there is excess nitrates or phosphates in the tank so you may want to check your levels and see what they are at.
 
I had red hair algae on the bottom of my tank and i treated it from sunday until late wednesday nite. I did the water change last nite and the red algae is gone. Is this hair algae different from red hair algae?
