ammonia scource question?

is a kings hardware near my area and i called the guy there about the pure ammonia he said its 10% ammonia hydro-oxide. this is ok? he said it didnt have dyes, scents, or surfactants though. is this the same thing you guys have been talking about?

Yep! This sounds fine as long as theres no additives. Give the bottle a good shake before buying to make sure it doesnt foam/bubble (like soapy water). Not all ingredients are required to be listed on the bottle- just the 'active' ingredient which is ammonium hydoxide so its always a good idea to check it out first.

Thanks very much for the tip I've got the 55g and stand so I'm going to check out the ammonia first thing tomorrow morning to fill it up and start cycling
