h all
anyone know of shops in uk selling ammonia,i need some badly but cant find any HELP!!
or something else i can use for a fishless cycle:confused:

You can use raw shrimp or fish food flakes. Actually anything that rots will work (I'd stay way from meat myself) and just put whatever you use in a well washed stocking or fine mesh bag. It's not as easy or consistent, but it does work. I used left over peas on one tank ;).

Test card? Are you using test stripes or a liquid test kit (test tubes)?

How long have you been cycling? What are your test results? do you have fish in your tank?

im using liquid testing no fish in tank been set up about 2 weeks
used some nutrafin cycle to sort it all out but nothing lol

What are you test results?

Read thru the link I posted it'll help a lot.

To answer your question about fishless cycling. The point is, is to not subject live animals to high doses of ammo, no2, pH fluctuations while the tank gets cycled. Plus once you do have fish, they'll be much happier and will live longer since they weren't harmed during the cycle.
