I was moving around and placing a few new corals I purchased and my anemone grabbed my arm .

About 10 mins later I felt a burning itching sensation and this appeared .
Anyone else experience getting stung by any creatures in our tanks ?

I've been stung by a big carpet anemone before. I got a nice rash from it. What type of nem was it?

Ritteri anemone .
It's only 12"-16" diameter

She has been here for awhile and very comfortable on this rock ,
I placed the elegance coral I just bought on the bottom and she grabbed me .
I'm not convinced that anemone could do that .
Than I think if when I added my Foxface he got stung and burned very bad

Yeah the ritteri can definitely give you a sting, it'll go away in a day or so. That's what happened with mine

I've heard the carpet is the worse , but I didn't ever think this one would do this.
I hand feed this one .
Even funnier my 7 year old daughter hand feeds it .
The first thing I saw it sting was the Foxface ,
In less then 1 second it went from swimming to laying on its side breathing heavy . It did recover but it didn't look good and wasn't expected to make I through the night
