i got this anemone from a friend but i don't knwo what it is, can anyone tell me what it is?

Well, the pink tips lead me to believe it is a condylactis gigantea

Yes I agree. And don't run out and get a clown for it cause clowns don't like condy anemone.

Well........I have a condy just like that with pink/purple tips and it has been home to a Yellow Tailed Damsel, a Domino Damsel, 3 Different Percs, and currently a Tomato Clown. Not all at the same time though!!

Well then let me say that in general they are not a common host to clowns.

I have heard that they do not normally.

how would i feed it? what should i feed it?

It will be fed by leftovers from feeding your fish. They will also filter feed, and my clown feeds it. You can feed it periodically with little peices of shrimp or krill.
