proper filtration and an air stone is fine. As for the gourami there is no solid answer. A lot comes down to the factors involved. What type of gourami, how big/mature each fish is and their temperaments.
I've heard successes with honey gourami and opaline gourami but it's also not a garauntee either. You could get an aggresive fish and it could torment your angel or nip it's fins. I would probably avoid kissing gourami and dwarf gourami. You could try it but I would have a back up plan in case it doesn't work out.

depends on the angel and gourami , Ive had angels that are peaceful and docile and angels that are mean , cranky and like to kill things , the aeration from a filter should be fine I havent run a air pump in years
