Anybody know about aquaclear filters?

I have an aquaclear 50 filter on my 20g tank. I noticed alot of gunk built up on the filter so i decided to clean it a bit in some tank water. But when i took the filter out the bag of charcoal had been burst open. Can i just replace this with any new charcoal?

Oh i call the activated carbon charcoal incase its confusing.

Just chuck it, it's not really needed unless you want it or are removing meds. It needs to replaced monthly, it wears out and eventually deteriorates as you're well aware now
