Aquaclear 300 HOB just died, what next?

Heya guys, I noticed that my filter stopped running today, and I tried plugging and unplugging the power with no avail. What new filter should I be looking at thats really good? And possibly the cheapest place to pick one up whether on the internet or locally.

What should I do in the meantime to keep the tank healthy?

Did you try taking it apart and cleaning out the impeller? Sometimes (often) that will fix them.

As for what for a replacement...what size tank?

I just cleaned the impeller housing out and it started right up, thanks guys!

Good. Nothing beats the AquaClears for being simple, reliable filters. Try sticking a sponge on the intake to keep it even cleaner around the impeller.
