Aquarium salt and Amazon sword?

I have a 19L (5 US Gal) freshwater tank that houses my male Betta. To treat a case of ich I am planning to dose the tank with aquarium salt in the next few days and am wondering if this will affect my only (live) plant in the tank, an Amazon sword (echinodorus bleheri). The plant seems well rooted and reasonably healthy from what I can see and the tank gets a good 13 hours of light from my LED every day.
