Are Angelfish and Gouramis compatible?

I have recently setup a 55gal Community tank, and am thinking of adding 1x Angelfish and 1x Gourami to the tank at the same time. Any thoughts if this will work? I have read pros and cons on adding multiple fish but none on single additions. Thanks!

I've done it with no problems at all. The 55 is big enough fir both to have their territory
