I bought half a dozen red cherry shrimp, and added them to my tank. One of the females was carrying a bundle of little yellow eggs. Um. All of the RCS ended up getting eaten by my fish. :( I also have big amanos, but they have always been fine, and still are.

A couple weeks later I caught a glimpse of an itty bitty shrimp! Sometimes he was red, and sometimes kind of clear but stripey.

Today I discovered that they are two shrimp.

Are they both red cherry shrimp? If they are, why are they different colors? Is it a male/female thing, or is one an inexplicable baby amano?

Thanks!

I think they are Fldksigtfab shrimp.

(Fish lady didn't know so I got them for a buck)

Interestingly, Fldksigtfab is easier to pronounce than some of the scientific names!
