This weekend I picked up a batch of fish and put them in my QT tank.
2 Mollies, 3 Assassin Snails, and a very small juvenile Bristlenose Pleco.
Ammonia=0
Nitrite=0
Nitrate=10
Temp= 78
Ph= 7.5
I acclimatized them by floating the bags for 15 min, then adding small amounts of water every 10 minutes for 30 min, then netting them and moving to the tank.
A few hours later, I saw one of the snails munching on the dead Pleco.
I am HOPING that the Pleco died from either a pre-existing condition or the transition to the QT tank. How likely is it that an Assassin Snail killed him?
The Mollies seem fine, but they're a lot bigger than the BP was.
