Last week I brought home an Atlantic Blue tang from my lfs. Meanwhile he is doing fine, eating and all that I noticed that he has a grey scar near his pectoral fin. I feed 1 sheet of nori algae a day. I tear the algae in haft so he kinda gets fed 2 times a day with flakes or frozen shrimp. My tank Is currently in a 100 gallon Fowlr. I've seen no aggression out of his tankmates, water quality is fine too. I personally don't think it's a disease or anything like that, more like he scratched himself on a piece of live rock but I came here to check!

In the picture the large grey patch on him is what we're focusing on.

it may be he is flashing on a rock or in the sand
those are usually signs of ich when they do that , id keep a eye on him

I never noticed any flashing on rocks or sand, or ich on him or on any other fishes

that's why i said keep a eye on him he could have done it when you weren't paying attention
tangs are one of the most common carriers of ich
that marking looks like something from flashing on a rock or sand
not saying he has ich , but that's a sure sign
just want you to be aware
early signs are what save most fish because they can be treated faster
keep him under close observation so if he starts showing other signs you can qt him
and treat him if need be

Thanks for the advice I sure will keep an eye on him.
