I want to avoid glass breakage. So what is the max weight of LR and LS can i put into my 75gal All Glass brand tank? How much rocks and sand do you have in your tank? TIA

I have 250#s of sand (about a 5" DSB) and 140#s of rock. The rock is sitting on top of pedistools made of 4" PVC.

Im no engineer, but if some of the tag lines and other stories I've read on the net are true, you'll go broke buying lr and sand before the tank bottom gives. However, it has made me wonder what the 'official' rating on some of these tanks are. Check out:

W 8O W. Thats a lot of sand you got. I got 140lbs of PS and LS (2 1/2 -3"). Just added another 45lbs fiji LR into the tank last night. This would bring the total weight of rocks up to about 135lbs. So far so good. :)

Thanks for the info PC! According to All Glass, the specs for 75 gal are: empty weight 98lbs, full weight 785lbs. Best of all, tempered bottomglass tank. I feel much better now, knowing i won't be coming home mopping up salt water on my hardwood floor. :)
