Auto prime siphon hose

Just FYI. Bass pro sells a self priming siphon hose. It's a 6 foot hose with a brass piece on the end. Simply stick the brass piece in the tank. Jerk it up and down a couple times and water will start to siphon. Brass has a glass ball and when you push down water enters the hose. On the upstroke the ball plugs the end! Simple! Fast! Works great!

They are good I got a fluval siphon that has a flange type set up water can travel out but not back down

I would be hesitant to use brass in any saltwater aquarium.
