What size tank?
What tank mates?
Do you have lots of food for him?
But flying fox and Siamese algae eaters are good at picking up algae. Both like groups and can be pretty scrappy so keep that in Mind.

What is your population, tank size, parameters like temperature ?

Amano shrimp, Red cherry shrimps, Siamensis Algea Eaters or Flying Fox (Very powerfull cleaner in big aquariums), Oto catfish...

I tried a gyrino for 3 month in a 10gal and it work well, then I selled it before he become agressive. Gyrino is very powerfull algae cleaner but requires very big tanks (100gal+)

Pleco aren't good cleaner IMO and require 120gal+

Corydoras are stiring substrate, so you need to clean it less often, cause fish poop goes into filter instead substrate.

This really depends on your stock and tank size as well as the type of algae you are having problems with.

Nerite snails can go in any size tank and are great algae cleaners.
Amano shrimp can go in a 10g tank.
Oto cats can go in a 10g as well but I wouldn't suggest using them in a new tank.
dwarf pleco can fit in 30g
Siamese algae eater can also go in 30g but I would skip the flying fox

Also what type of algae are you wanting to have cleaned up since all algae eaters eat different types of algae and some algae no algae eater will eat.

Are you having problems with a certain type of algae?
