I have them together in my 8g community tank and no problems. Having plants/moss is ideal when you have shrimp.

bettas can and do eat RCS, so if you aren't willing to risk it, I wouldn't put them together.

Wow really? I guess my RCS & CRS have special forcefields protecting them from my betta lol.

It's normally not an advisable combination, I'm sure it works out for some, but there's just an inherent risk involved that I wanted to point out so there isn't an update a week later about shrimp disappearing lol.
