Please Help!

My boyfriend and I own a Betta fish named Neil, we recently noticed that he wouldn't close his mouth. It's been about 2 days now. He will still eat his pellet food buy won't eat the Brine Shrimp.

3 nights ago we tested the water and it was normal, but we did a water change last, unfortunately Neil stays at my boyfriend's place so I'm not 100% sure if it worked, but I read that an open or swollen mouth can be Columnaris and I was hoping if someone could tell me if it sounds the same. We did add some Aquarium Salt to the water 2 days before doing the water change.

It could really be anything.
I have many many bettas and whenever there is something wrong the practically all have their mouths open all the time. Ask your bf to check for anything on the skin, check if he is pooping normal and just keep doing water changes.
Let us know :) good luck
