Biocube 14 protien skimmer verdict

Hi all,
If I make weekly water changes to my BC do I need to use a protien skimmer?
Some say no.... some say yes....what's the verdict?
Any advice would be awesome!

On a small tank like that a skimmer is not needed as long as you are doing frequent PWC`s. If you are not doing PWC`s as needed then you need to use a skimmer.

How many gallons weekly for the pwc ?

I have a skimmer in mine , I do 2 gallons a week water change.
Im always at 0/0/0... Seems to work out good for me.
