I can take one when I get home if you would like. Not sure how to post pictures on here but worst case I could send it to you through email.

Hey guys I have a 14gal bio cube it's been in my grandparents garage for about 3 years not at active and I'm trying to fix it up and make it a fresh water tank and I have no idea how to hook it up or clean it? Any advise ??

If it is 3 years old, it will probably be the unit with the individual ballasts... At this point they may or may not be bad. They are pretty much plug and play so try that first. As far as cleaning, dont use any soaps... I use warm water and a new green brillow(not steal wool!!!) pad that has been washed out before use... Let it air dry and repeat the process at least twice(might not be the best way, but that is what i have done in the past and it has worked for me... Maybe start a new thread and upload some pictures so we dont steal this one, and more knowledgable people can also chime in... Hope this helps

The first pic looks like the power attachment to the ballasts... They should have the wall plug on the other end... If not, find the power end and it should connect to the parts in the first picture. That is the right scrub brush, at least that i have used, but it looks like the tank is still dirty... Give it a few more scrubs(dont forget the filtration chambers) and let it dry out. As far as the bio balls go, id ditch them if it were me(in fact i did in my saltwater tank) as they are nitrite factories... Id grab a new filter too if it has been sitting for 3 years(3 packs arent that expensive if i remember correctly)

Okay I took out the balls and I should leave them out correct? It would be better for a fresh water tank and when 1 finger is pointing there's a blue sponger or another filter should I take that out to clean? And where my 2 fingers are pointing that's where the balls went and I should just leave it as it is with nothin in it correct and what I'm pinching do you know what that little adapter is?

I would leave them out as it means u wont have to take them out all the time to clean them, but its your choice... Clean the sponges... Clean everything, thoroughly!!! And i think the little plug ur holding in the last pic is for the night lights, but my tank is a newer model and i dont have those plugs...

Alright thank you so much ill update you when I have fish and it's nice and clean :D
