Blackout Disaster

Anyone else have a huge distaster when the blackout happened? I lost 2 lions/tang/starfish and numerous snails hermit crabs.

Next time I will be prepared with a battery operated pump. Who would have thought a blackout in NYC!

Sorry to hear about your loss.

i was lucky and was at home for most of the blackout. I noticed my fish starting to look tired and lethargic from 0xygen deprivation, so I took the hose going to my airstone and blew into it for a few minutes until they looked happier again. I did that every couple of hours and didnt have any problem with my tank.

Oh bummer I'm sorry. Friend of mine was away. Lost everything cept a tang.

I happened to BE in a lfs when the lights went out (oi, this MTS is bad LOL). Ran home and spent the next few hours dumping water in and our of my tank and over my filters. Course, its a FW tank and less apt to have chem changes like SW. Everyone came thru fine. Then again, we were out for 3-4 hrs total.
