I have a 3 month old FOWLR tank (30 Gallon IM Fusion). I have bright green algae on the rocks where the light hits. Should I cut down the time the lights are on (7 hours)? I have several snails and hermits but them don't seem to help. Any suggestions?

Btw- I have a IM skimmer, complete water changes weekly-10%, my levels are testing good, I have chemi pure, etc running as well.

It is completely normal and you are doing well. Just keep it up and time will solve the problem.

You can cut back lighting time to 4-5 hours a day if you want. Just make sure that you are not overstocking your tank.

Thanks! That helps calm my nerves. I'm stocked with 2 clowns, a fire fish and a yellow goby. That's where I plan to stop, but, I do plan to add corals at some point. Thanks again
