Hello,
I have brown algae that I can’t seem to get rid
Of. I have snails in here, so a lot of the products I can’t use. It seems to cling mostly on the live plants, which are hard to wipe down without ruining them. How can I get it off of the live plants?

Thank you!

Is that hornwort? Are you sure it’s brown algae or is the hownwort just melting? The other leaves looks perfectly clean

Melting? I am not sure what that means, I dont believe so. I am pretty sure its a brown algae. It was on more things in the tank and Ive been working on getting rid of it. But since I cant just wipe off the hornwort, it seems to be the last thing that its lingering on.

My hornworm turned brown like that when I dosed excel and it was dying back.

Algae is always balance of light and nutrients somehow, so if there’s an algae problem we’d need to know tank size and stock, parameters and light/ light cycle (how long the lights are on) to try to pinpoint the issue
