Brown Jelly on Duncan

Is this brown jelly disease? My clown has been picking at it here recently the past week and i now notice this. My frogspwn is next to it should I move it away?

You should remove the duncan and cut the effected head off to prevent it from spreading.

Anything specific that causes it? I've had that duncan for a year no problems.

I've never read anything on what specifically causes it, but if not addressed it can spread.
